Amy has told us about a breastfeeding webcast for lactation consultants and WIC with a breakfast sponsored by Mead Johnson. Well, there are a few things that come to mind regarding what to do about it.

1. Ask the hospital to un-invite (is that a real word?) Mead Johnson and provide food from their own cafeteria
2. Check with your Corporate Compliance Department to see if this practice is allowed
3. Ask people not to attend
4. Attend the webcast but make an announcement that you will not eat the food due to it being provided by a non-Code compliance company, essentially the competition
5. Ask the hospital if they would have a webcast on lung cancer with a breakfast sponsored by Philip Morris or the Marlboro man
6. Check with the Ethics Committee and hospital attorney to see if the hospital can ethically promote infant formula
