Absolutely not. The point of peer counselling is that the person providing 
the counselling is a peer, another mother. We've research that shows that 
what women get from peer counselling is an "apprenticeship" style learning 
opportunity. They learn from watching the other mother, mother. The mother 
being counselled also needs to be able to see that "this woman is just like 
me." Otherwise what's the point of having a peer counsellor, you may as well 
just employ another nurse.
