I have some personal experience. My second dd was born at home after the
easy and swift labor (1h40m and I felt notable contractions only for last 30
min). She was very content and relaxed. I was even worried by this. Midwife
who arrived after she was born assured me that little girl is OK and told
me: 'she is still sleeping as in utero because labor was easy on her'. She
said it is normal for babies born at home after swift labor. My little one
was 36-weeker, she was adamant about being constantly in my arms and nursing
day and night. Gained 1200 and 6 cm in first month despite high palate and
small mouth

On the other hand, my third was more alert and had higher tone after birth.
Labor was 2hour long but contractions were much stronger (there was about
15-20 of them in these 2 hours).

I am still missing a bit a wonderful gaze of newborn baby I read about in
books. My little girls didn't open their eyes wide, skipped that looking
around phase and proceeded from relaxation straight into nursing.

Sincerely
