Hello Lactnetters,
Great timing Darillyn!
Darillyn and I are working together on a study of older adoptive
breastfeeding (children 4 months and greater at placement) and collecting
the experiences of women who were both successful and unsuccessful in
transitioning their child to the breast.
Currently I have a Dutch mother who would like to participate in the study
but finds writing in English difficult (though her understanding of English
is quite good). I was wondering if there is a Lactnetter who might be
prepared to translate a completed questionaire into English for us. This
would enable this mother to participate more easily. I think that she would
have a tough time otherwise. As you would imagine there are not many women
who have breastfed older adopted children (and this woman's child was even
older than mine at placement- we need some more outliers!).
Thankyou

PS If any of you know of mothers who might be interested in participating
we'd love to hear from them.
