Kathleen, we have good information in the UK...would this help you
convince your docs?

You can see our NICE (National Institute of Health and Clinical
Excellence) guidelines on this :

http://guidance.nice.org.uk/IPG149

and a good paper published recently:

http://fn.bmj.com/content/early/2013/11/18/archdischild-2013-305031.full

There have been RCTs and a considerable number of other studies.

Subject: Tongue Tie article

Stanford has a nice Dr to Dr level article on tongue tie and frenotomy. I
printed it out a couple of years ago for a reluctant Dr. I ended that
near-argument conversation by saying 'If you don't want to clip it, don't'
and sent him the article the next day via inter-office mail. he regularly
clips frenula now.Susan in Mn rn ibclc
