Hello Wise Ones!

I come to you today seeking career advice! I have started back to school (I already have a 10-year old BFA degree) to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing ... I plan to sit for the IBLCE in July of 2005 and so be an IBCLC as well as an RN when I graduate in 2+ years (I am already an LLL) ... in my ideal world I will be working in Public Health Education as well as able to help mothers with specific BF problems ... now my question for all of you ...

My guidance counselor has suggested the possibility of by-passing the second Bachelors and going for a Master of Public Health in Public Health Practice. What do the wise ones think? The ones who have been out there in the real world?

I am sorry if this was inappropriate to post to LACTNET, but I could think of no better place to find advice on impacting public policy on BF ... before I get another degree that may or may not prepare me to do so!

By the Way: I am still working on my handout thanks to some great advice (particularly from Winnie and Linda Smith) ... hope to send those who have requested it a final version early in the New Year!
