>> Consider breastfeeding" bf "longer than 3 months may ***protect

I actually thought it was clever to give this particular reason to
breastfeed in the article. It seems like "everyone knows" all the
usual reasons to breastfeed and many people still aren't impressed
enough to begin or continue past a few weeks or months.

The bedwetting research is new, different, and attention-grabbing.
It is likely to appeal to everyone -- mothers, fathers, grandparents,
other caregivers. We seem to be at a point where ear infections are
considered such a normal part of infancy that people barely hear the
information about artificial feeding & ear infections, for example.
Less bedwetting, though, is something that everyone can get behind.

The length of the article really only allowed one supporting idea for
each recommendation. I think the bedwetting info could be a
surprisingly strong motivator for people who think they already know
the scoop on breastfeeding.

Now, I definitely do take issue with the wording of the bf
recommendation: "CONSIDER breastfeeding." GAH! This is unchanged
from previous years' versions of this same article (seems to be an
annual feature). I know there were gripes on Lactnet about this
wording last year -- apparently not enough of us complained to the
writer, editor, and/or publisher for them to correct it!
