I second the suggestion for withdrawing this bill immediately. Plan to
resubmit at a future session.

One reason is the repeated use of the word "infant". Even though the bill
quotes the section from the AAP about 6 mos, 12 most, or more, the word
"infant" does have a specific definition of (please correct me folks) "less
than 1 year of age". Neonate is 28 days or less. Baby is over one year. I'm
not clear when "child" begins.

Most legislation I have read always uses the word "child" to avoid this
legal definition being codified. The undesired result is, this law 'could'
be interpreted to limit BFing to 12 mos or less, by law, therefore toddler
nursing 'may' be considered illegal.

In legislation, you live or die by the turn of one word.
