Under the current system, I cannot see how a bunch of Ohio affiliates
(there are three different groups (two official affiliates and one other)
in the metro Chicago area) would make more of an impact on the Board.
There is only one US Delegate to the Board. I suppose if she was bombarded
with letters, she would be sure to mention things to the Board, but it was
my impression that anything an affiliate mentions is passed on. (Just goes
to show what I don't know).

You also have a US Regional Rep. They also report to the US Delegate.
Perhaps in that way, more Ohio affiliates would make a difference, but
again, I am not sure. Does that rep actively correspond with Mary Grace?

I think your point about mission statement was well taken.  Why not request
that such things be put to membership vote or at least query as to
interest?

Be prepared, however, for cool receptiion.  One of the BIGGEST problems
ILCA has is lack of invovlement of members; example was the ballot this
year. How many people ran for office?  If you want the Board to represent
you, more people have to start making waves and getting involved!  (am off
the soapbox; next...)
