Hi Irma,
I suffered from a very similar thing from the time my daughter was 8 months to 13 months, until I finally got the correct diagnosis of eczema. I was in extreme pain with almost no intact skin on my nipples and areolas. I was misdiagnosed with thrush for a long time, and the nystatin and other treatments just made it worse. As soon as I started using only hydrocortisone cream, I was much better! What I tried to keep in mind was that I had experienced the first 8 months of her life with no breastfeeding pain, so I knew it was possible to go back to that state of being pain-free, if I could just be patient until I found the correct diagnosis and treatment. I wish you the best with this! I know how difficult it is, and I also know that it is definitely possible to heal!
