To Sue in Indiana Pa. (from a native pennsylvanian now in the south)-
I have dealt with many moms who smoked and breastfed.  I have not personally
tasted the milk, but I can tell you that the pumped milk of a heavy smoker has
a yellow-gray look, and when you take off the cap, it smells like a damp
ashtray full of cigarette butts : (   The babies have done well on it, despite
the distaste experienced by the staff feeding it to them.  It HAS to taste
different...
