I remember that a friend once told me she was living in France with a
family for a year. Many times the father would come home (he had some sort
of outdoor job, like a postman), and first thing would run to his wife for
a squirt of breastmilk in his eyes. He said it was the only thing that
helped his aching eyes!  This happened about 25 years ago.
