I "solved" this with my eldest whom I managed to BF for 10 days way back in 1952. He was still sucking his thumb a lot before kindergarten, and had developed buck teeth. Soon started him on the trumpet in grade school and avoided braces. But by his teens he was a smoker, until he had a heart attack at 50! Stent patched that up, thus far. Bless him, I guess he adopted my "pacifier" over the years too: Too much food;-)
