What is Kenacomb ointment?
In regards to the other problems mentioned, pumping/nursing only 4X day for a
2 wk old may be contributing to this nipple problem.  In effect, breast is
overfull, baby only latches on tip, pulls out nipple at base with every
suckle and keeps crack open.  This mom should try to keep breast softened
(via use of pump frequently q2-3 h) and use modified lanolin sparingly on
cracked area until it heals.  It usually takes 24-48 hours
