I have been a La Leche League leader for a year, but I have been involved with LLL for the last 10 years.

It seems like lately I have either heard from directly or heard about so many moms who are having lots of difficulty getting their babies to latch on. I hardly ever heard about this in years past.

I wonder is this happening more often? Am I just hearing about it more because mothers are seeking help (instead of giving up and going to bottles)? My theory is that there are more and more birth interventions and inductions which are contributing to this problem.

Jeanne (LLL leader in Wisconsin)
