The discussion on this am's Washington Journal (CSpan) was the fact that women are grossly under-represented in our (USA) government.  Women represent 55% of the population yet less then 20% hold government office.  No wonder we have trouble promoting and implementing change when it comes to women, children & family.  We need a platform. We need more strong women in office!  I can think of a few people on Lactnet I'd like to nominate.....
