From experience, I can tell you to BRING FOOD. Homemade is ideal. L&D
has just started their own BF support group, and I haven't any idea
what it will be like. But the docs I visit have made more referrals
and are more likely to pursue the diagnosis that the mom figures out
from the info I am able to pass on to her. I'm thinking yeast and
tongue-tie here.

I have taken different things at different times, often corresponding
to what I get calls about. L&D uses a lot of nipple shields, and I
hear about it, so I took them a pad of nipple shield tear-offs. Peds
told me everybody there quits at 6 weeks when maternity leave is over,
so they got working/BF stuff. BF after Csec pamphlets to the doc who
does all the Csecs. You get the picture.
