Dr. Tom, Thanks for the prompt reply. When I finally got hold of the
Mom, communication problems, she had just returned from the scan. She
has a 15 year history of Cushings Syndrome, with the removal of her
adrenals and pitutiary, and on her annual scan a suspected liver sarcoma
was found(yesterday). Hence the big rush. The Mom had double good news.
1. She could Bf sooner than 48 hours and 2. Her liver looks clean.
An interesting aside, I am entering the hospital on Sun for a workup
and possible surgery for Cushings myself. She was able to give me a lot
of info and support in dealing with the 2 to 3 weeks I'm going to be in
the hospital. "Give and you shall receive". I'm trying to figure out a
way to take a lap top and a modem and stay on line while in NIH, any
suggestions? I think that 2 to 3 weeks without my daily "fix" will make
me an unhappy camper.
