Dear Kathleen, I'd go back to finger feeding, adjusting the flow slower
gradually by using smaller tube and then lowering the source lower than
baby's head. This will make the flow slower and slower. Do this for a
week or so. Then try shield again, large tube under shield, bottle up
high. Then gradually lower bottle, go to smaller tube, til you are rid of
tube, then start feeding with shield and take off mid feeding etc. till
you are rid of the shield. Do you get what I mean? P.S. when parents are
struggling thru a situation like this a bottle in middle of night may save
everyone's sanity and doesn't seem to set it all back too much. Mom
can express while Dad gives bottle. If you use a nuk, turn it upside down,
harder to suck. Sincerely, Pat in SNJ
