The good news is that bf is so powerful that men
want to be part of it, too. Our job is to help
them be involved in appropriate ways. Feeding a baby
breastmilk from a bottle does not constitute breast
feeding. Just like wearing one of those pregnancy
empathy gizmos does not make one pregnant.

I know of one new dad who was very proud of the
fact that his wife had stuck with bfing after she returned to
work largely because he had done the research and gotten her
the best pump in the business. I don't know which one it
was, but he was the mechanical one who applied his knowledge
and interest to helping his wife continue to bf by making sure
she had the best pump around.
This new dad found a great way to be "part of the process."

He was aware that pumping was second choice to the real thing,
but it was what they had to do and he did what he could to
help.
