Pedialyte is a vile tasting(my opinion) liquid formulated to replace
electrolytes (ex: potassium, sodium) lost by diarrhea/vomiting.  It is
used when mild dehydration may be present.  We usually reccomend bm
instead, but for those babies not fortunate enough to have access, this
may be used as a poor substitute.
