Diane W reports:

The statement is unreferenced, =
implies that birthing at home is a fad,

OK, I truly had to LOL at this. Home birthing is a FAD? Like breastfeeding
is a FAD. We just discovered both, and are jumping on the bandwagon --
which is what FADs are.

My son, my baby-who-made-me-a-lactation-consultant -- currently working in
North Africa would REALLY hoot at this -- a FAD? When this -- birthing at
home and breastfeeding is all the families know there?

The ethnocentricity of the US of A is astounding.
