Ultra cool! I'd been thinking for some time that there had to be a really
cheap way to make a no-hands pumping bra. The notion of just cutting holes
in an ordinary bra finally occurred to me (duh), but I wondered how a woman
would feel wearing a bra like that all day at work. Not being a sew-er, I
wasn't crazy about the notion of sewing flaps on to cover the holes.
Although that may be simpler than what I finally arrived at.

I found a black lycra zips-in-front sport bra on sale. I cut holes large
enough to fit the back end of a pump flange through. As far as my 36B or C
non-lactating body could tell, it worked *great*. A mom could put it on
over her other clothes just for pumping. It doesn't appear that the raw
edges of the cuts are inclined to tear or run (lycra users? Do you know?).
The flanges stayed well positioned and were easy to reposition if they
weren't well aligned.

I'm going to give my 5-minute creation to one of my clients to test for me;
she's been craving no-hands pumping, but doesn't want to spend the money
for bra-and-attachments and doesn't usually wear a bra anyway.

To make it totally portable? Just put a charged Lactina in a baby sling
and go hang the laundry while double-pumping!

The down side: The only color available was black. Rig up a black,
zippered bra with carefully centered holes and pump equipment, and it looks
*very very* kinky. If anyone else wants to try this, see if you can find
white. Or at least don't go hanging the laundry in a public place...

Any thoughts on using a sports bra with smaller holes as a substitute for
breast shells prenatally?
