Dear Elise:

Perhaps the mother needs to explore other possibilities, unrelated to
her sustained breastfeeding, such as inner-ear problems which can cause
nausea and dizziness.  The gynecologist might not think to look there.
But let's applaud his/her imagination for the diagnosis given.
