I am looking for statistics on the cost efficiency of breastfeeding. I
specifically need statistics for when BF continues for longer than 3
months. (Everything I can find so far refers to BFing up to 12 weeks).

Our state has implemented a job training program for families receiving
welfare. All women must enter the program when their infants are 2-3
months old. We are trying to justify them providing on-site day care and
breastfeeding facilities in the new training building. We want to show
them that helping the mothers continue to breastfeed will save the state
money in health care (and other) costs in the long run.

TIA -
