I apologize if the following is nauseating to some - but I
accustom most of us have probably been accustomed to more
graphic descriptions and happenings from our children!

What is described sounds somewhat like a blackhead and/or
whitehead on one's face -- if one is silly enough to
squeeze it (which, of course, is not recommended!), one
gets a stringy white-yellow "clot" that varies in consistency.
Are these types of "spots" related at all to the mechanism
that causes pimples? Do the mothers who have this problem
have any link to facial breakouts? I have heard of a low-fat
diet and lecithin being recommended for this, which also
has some effect (in my experience) on facial breakouts. This
is all hypothetical, but I would be curious to hear what
others have to say. I have also heard that trans-saturated
fats may be implicated in respect to this problem -- and in my
experience these fats also cause pimples. (I know some
people say that pimples are not related to fat intake -- not
true in my experience).
