Recently we received a letter from our school district wanting to test
our daughter, Mika, for placement in a TAG program (talented and
gifted).  As a mother who is against labeling of children and feels that
we provide our children with challenges at home, I was giving this whole
idea a great deal of thought.  My 13 year old son, Dane, decided to put
it all in perspective for me when he said, "You know Mom if you didn't
want smart kids you shouldn't have breastfed us."


Coach Smith--I want a shirt that says, "Breastfeeding is Hands-On Mothering".
