Is it possible that she is talking about little silver cups that are placed over the nipples to help with wound healing? They resemble thimbles on steroids. I had a Dutch client who was using them and she said they are becoming more popular over there. She thought they worked to help heal her nipples. They retail for about 75 dollars. Quite pricey. I certainly don't see how they could cause any harm, though I doubt there are studies proving their efficacy yet.
