Have been off mail for a long time but remain gratified that Lactnet
exists!

Recently saw a new film by Ishmail Merchant, "Cotton Mary".  The way the
story is told it's hard to believe the baby involved could actually
survive.  Has there been any comment on this here?  I only ask because it
felt like there should have been a more accurate accounting of how a
newborn needs to be nourished (even in 1950's India), when the mother's
milk wasn't coming in!
