I was wondering if anybody knows how the custom of siestas influences infant
care practices. Specifically I wonder about what expectations siesta-taking
mothers have of infant sleep patterns, day and night.
And I was also wondering if adults who take a siesta in the middle of the
day have a corresponding waking period in the middle of the night, or if
they retire very late, or get up very early.
Since I live nearly at the north pole when viewed from the subtropics, until
global warming worsens drastically I will have no need of a siesta to escape
the warmest part of the day.
So I was just wondering.
