Sorry, was just rereading your post. Is the woman in question pregnant again??? Perhaps that accounts for the over abundance of caution in the case of her doctors. Even a theoretical risk of anaphylaxis with a pregnant woman might be worrying them or perhaps they don't want to keep her in such an inflammatory state during her pregnancy...
