It was mentioned that doctors may have a monetary interest in illness,
hence not interested in promoting breastfeeding.
In the UK  most doctors are not paid according to how many visits are
made to them. Yet the situation with breastfeeding promotion and
knowledge is no different from the US. There are a few docs who shine
out like beacons, the rest are mediocre to abysmal. Not much different
from the rest of the healthcare professionals really.
