Dear Lactnetters,

One of our hospital staff is very excited about the upcoming birth of her new first baby. However, she is now becoming concerned, because she is beginning to see very small bruises appear all over her breasts. They look like small hickeys (she assured me they arent'), and are black and blue.  

Have any of you seen this phenomena, and what can I tell this mom?
