Yes, here in Canberra, some pharmacies carry them. They are made in Sweden,
where they are called "Mastitis Pads". They are large, cotton backed inserts
you tuck in each cup of the bra and under the arm with a lining of something
called 'flectalon", "aluminum coated polypropylene foil, cut into very thin
strips, which forms a light and porous wadding." (from the package insert).
I was given a sample set which I use to keep warm at the pottery studio in
winter! Basically, the layers trap air and reflect the body's warmth back
onto the nipple/breast. Very comfortable, and a nifty little item.

However, some mothers also find them very useful for treating vasospasm
(Raynaud's of the nipple), which is fairly common here in Canberra for some
reason.

The package also advertises them as being useful for mastitis, blocked ducts,
engorgement, and encouraging MER.

I don't have any financial interest in the product, but I generally suggest
it as an option for mums who are in great pain from vasospasm.
