Wow! It sounds like an epidemic of constipated babies. It is funny how
certain conditions seem to occur in clusters sometimes. May be something in
the water.
For the older babies that are not going longer than a week, I'll probably
try some prune juice/jar prunes or apple juice first. If a baby is not
having a BM for 10 days, is getting really distended and uncomfortable
hirschsprung's disease should be kept in mind, especially if the first BM
was after 24 hrs of birth.
