Robyn: Bravo!!!!! Thank you for a beautifully worded and well thought out
post. You're my new hero! :) As a Navy vet myself, I can tell you that
unless you've been "in", it's difficult to understand what military women
face each and every day, particularly those in more male-oriented jobs. You
never quite know who's going to be supportive (oftentimes men) or completely
wretched (many times, sadly, women). By the way, unless the policy has
changed in the past year, women who become pregnant in the US Military have
the option of leaving the military to care for their babies full time.
While it's a difficult decision to make, it IS an option, though certainly
not ideal.

While many of us dream of the day when the US is Code compliant, and we are
essentially "out-of-jobs" because breastfeeding has become so commonplace
within our culture, the fact is that we are all dealing with the here and
now.
