Dear Alice,
If this mother does have enough breastmilk, she is making more than he
takes in a day, what about lacto-engineering her milk rather than using
formula?
If the baby is taking all the milk that the mother makes, she needs more
breastmilk, up focus on increasing her supply, and perhaps does need to
add some more artificial calories to her milk.
If the baby is having problems getting volume in because feeding is
stressful, then she could scoop some of her cream off of another bottle
of breastmilk and give the baby some double cream milk.
So, I guess the question is, is it a matter of she doesn't have enough
milk for him OR is he having issues with taking the milk.
Keep us posted!
Thank you,
