I have followed two mothers with active lupus erythematosis.  They both
produced tons of milk.  In one case, if I remember well, the baby wouldn't
latch on, but we got him to. In the other, the mother had obvious candida
(she was on all these immunosuppressive drugs). I think the treatment worked
for her.

It probably isn't possible to be sure that lupus doesn't interfere with milk
production.  It is an extremely variable disease and it can affect any and
all parts of the body. It could, I suppose affect the alveolar cells of the
breast.
