"for RA or in general?... b/c i've read some pretty
amazing research that used FO caps... katherine in atl"

Katherine, thanks for pinning me down on that, as I spoke quite too curtly
on it. The recommended amount for RA is 3g/day -- more than most of us
would want to get from our diet. I've been excitedly following and
recommending fishoil caps for quite some time, then some recent studies
(not RA specifically) are suggesting that, just like other supps, the real
thing works much better than the extracts -- leading to a bit of a 'let-
down' for me (no pun intended). Reduction of dietary arachadonic acid
(meat, eggs, peanut oil) is shown to be valuable as well. I would totally
do both the diet (like some daily fish replacing most meat) and the caps.

NOW swinging this back to BF: "Supplementation with fish oil during
pregnancy significantly alters early post-partum breast milk fatty acid
composition. Omega-3 PUFA levels were positively associated with IgA and
sCD14 levels, suggesting a relationship between fatty acid status and
mucosal immune function.--Dunstan JA, et al Clin Exp Allergy. 2004 Aug"
