Maybe you should reconsider leaving midwifery completely ;-))....  In the US we don't have any prescriptive rights as IBCLC's.  I refer moms back to their OBs, the baby's pedi, midwife, nurse practitioner or their family practice docs for medications.  Sometimes these folks agree with my assessment, sometimes not.
