I had oral thrush this summer during a 2 month course of IV antibiotics.  I
couldn't eat anything because my tongue hurt so bad.  I kept telling the
nurses that my tongue "felt like it was sunburned."  Finally my daughter
looked in my mouth and diagnosed the problem.  It's a heck of a way to lose
weight!  Nothing tasted good and even mashed potatoes hurt!
