Just a thought for those who are dissalusioned by the current IBLCE issues,
looking for other educational options or want to get their training in a
different way....

The Union Institute and University / Vermont College program which partners
with Healthy Children is an option. They offer online fully acredited
programs for students anywhere. Bachelor, Masters or PhD with a specific
focus in lactation. You can aim your program for sitting for the exam or can
just focus on your area of passion. You can do with your education what you
will....become an IBCLC or some other "breastfeeding specialist".

I am not financially affiliated with the school, but I have recently applied
to the Masters program. So, I get nothing out of sharing this information.
Just wanted to let everyone know there are options.

I have heard people on this list discuss the need for a formal academic
route. Here is a possibility for those interested.

You can look here: www.healthychildren.cc and www.tui.edu

Blessings,
Micky
