Francis:  Reglan most definitely can trigger depression (had that
demonstrated very clearly with a mom with no prior depression hx).  Has
anyone suggested trying something like Fennugreek, Hops, Thistle or any
other galactogenic herb?  If these haven't worked (and they don't always,
just as Reglan doesn't always), there are precidents for prescribing
antidepressants such as Paxil or Effexor while on Reglan (or other
prescribed meds).  I would strongly suggest that this mother find a doctor
who more highly values breastfeeding and is willing to work around obstacles
instead of taking the convenient or liability-cautious approach.
