may I say AMEN! I also think there is something wrong in our soceity when
mothers can walk away from their screaming baby.

I have cried so many tears for those poor babies and mothers. I do admit
however to hiding the offending books at the library.  I don't want a casual
browser to find them.  It doesn't stop the avid searchers from requesting it
and perhaps getting it thru interlibrary loan but she has to really really
want it.

I also think a bookstore could stop carrying the really bad books but order
them for the patrons who want them. Catch is the patrons whould have to know
what to ask for.  The casual looker wouldn't see it and buy it for the catchy
title or glossy pictures on the front.

 by the book. when i had my first child, i picked him up whenever he cried. i
 hadn't read dr. sears yet, but even if every single book on the market had
 said to let your baby cry, i wouldn't have done it. i would have just written
 the book that said not do.
