Hello all,

I just recently subscribed to Lactnet, and already can't keep up with
all of the information.

Introduction

I'm IBCLC since 1991, in private practice with another LC in New York
City. We provide services, including home visits, seven days a week.
I'm also mother of two, Joel (7) and Ruth (4), who often ask "Mom, are
you on call today?"and hope the answer is no. My husband Barry is also
delighted that Lactnet now exists. He's been trying to steer me toward
this kind of communication for a long time.

Fibrocystic breasts and plugged ducts

A nursing mother of a 9 week old called me asking if I knew of any
women who had to stop nursing because of cysts which lead to recurring
painful, plugged ducts. I told her that I had not and gave her some
suggestions for preventing plugged ducts. Has anyone had experience
with this?
