The Air Force pump program pays up to $150 for the Pump in Style, which is
an equal amount for 5 months rental in our area and they are tax exempt.
The local program pays for medical and financial necessity only, not to just
have a pump. Of the moms that I have supplied a pump in the last month: a
couple with a 28 week baby who were enroute to a new posting when mom went
into premature labor, a working mom after she went back to work (because she
didn't know about the program before), and a mom who got terrible
information at her hospital and the base clinic and weaned because of sore
nipples, she is now relactating for a 8 week baby. All perfectly valid
reasons to have a pump.
Sounds like each program administrator can do what they want in
supplying pumps, too bad, because if they spend too much money, the program
may be cut.
