Kathy, has this been reported back to the manufacturers? This IS a problem. 
Perhaps the condensation can be tested for microbes? Having not "witnessed" 
the use of Symphonies during several pumping sessions in a row as you do - 
as they are in the mother's homes when they use them hired from our 
association, I have not seen this condensation phenomenon. Since the 
previous models of Medela (Select and Constant) had tubing the same, was/is 
this a problem with them too?

Some mothers still prefer the older models of the Medela electric 
breastpumps.
