I had a quick look at Adventures in Tandem Nursing (2003), and found the
following:

Some sources suggest that fenugreek has been used in the past to stimulate
labour in women past their due date, although fenugreek was not mentioned in
a recent review of a wide range of methods of cervical ripening and labor
induction. While bearing in mind the fact that the healthy uterus is
resistant to being induced into labour until the mother is at term..., you
may wish to take into account the possibility that fenugreek might affect
[the] uterus in some way.

...unable to find any research on the safety of pregnant mothers using
pharmaceutical galactagogues like Domperidone and Metroclopamide or other
popular herbs like blessed thistle, alfalfa and fennel. The lack of safety
data is a serious concern; all herbs that have an effect on the body are
drugs and should be used with caution during pregnancy.

It is also worth considering that galactagogues may well not improve
supplies during pregnancy, since galactagogues are usually based on
enhancing prolactin levels, and during pregnancy, high progesterone may be
more the problem than low prolactin levels. It may also be worth mentioning
that investigators have considered excessively high prolactin levels to be a
possible cause of miscarriage, though recent research has failed to document
a connection.

...milk volume tends to increase again somewhat in the third trimester and
that ... milk supply will be restored completed upon delivery.

Personally, I found visualization of copious milk flow from a many-breasted
statue helped when I was pregnant and nursing.
