Thank you Nancy , I am aware of this protocol and we have brought it to the attention of those make these decisions in our hospital . I will be looking forward to the updated protocol with appreciation.

unfortunately research seems to be valued by some when it supports the opinion we already hold in certain situations with certain individuals.

it's not all the time but it's enough of the time to make me smile and question when someone asks me for research to back up my opinion, as even if I have said evidence ...it doesn't seem to change or have the influence that One  would expect. I think it all kind of boils down to power struggles ...people believe their own core beliefs before they will agree to change said beliefs/ practices especially if the evidence comes from somebody Who is not perceived as a peer.
