Do any of you have experience with massage therapists offering their
services in the hospital? We were approached by a massage therapy student
who wanted to do her clinical practicum on our unit. She is available for
massage to laboring and postpartum women, and newborns. She has been here
for about a week, and is doing a great job. We would like to recommend this
on a permanent basis to our administration, but are unsure as to how to go
about it. Would she be a hospital employee available during pre-set hours,
or would she contract her services directly to patients? Do you obtain a
physician order for laboring moms? for infants?
Please email me privately, and thanks in advance!
